Covering 67 risk categories, including terrorism, narcotics, money laundering, fraud, tax evasion, collateral crimes & politically exposed persons, its clients can make comprehensive identity checks and meet the highest levels of legislative compliances. RapidID is an approved Gateway Service Provider to the Attorney-General’s Document Verification Service.

RapidID relies heavily on the use of APIs (Application Programming Interfaces). Put simply, APIs provide a means of consuming or publishing data easily between different systems. As you may imagine, a system with RapidIDs extensive reliance on a multitude of data sources to ensure that the identification processing it undertakes is fully informed and using up-to-date information.

Our approach

RapidID approached Experience Digital seeking its expertise in the use of APIs to speed up and strengthen identification processes. Experience Digital performed checks within the applications to automate the entire system including building a comprehensive billing system that enables ID checks to quickly be priced. This was an enterprise platform that resold government gateway services with incredible user experience and excellent documentation ability, including a photo capturing capability for a license or passport photo.

The outcome

RapidID is now a service provider to a range of global clients because the platform’s underlying technology has been prepared to support industrial-scale use. The system has been proven to accommodate 1,000 transactions in 2 seconds and has the ability to scale up to process 5,000 times more with no human intervention. Every day, millions of new identity documents are issued by government agencies, reported stolen, cancelled or lost. The solution proposed was developed in accordance with the international standard ‘ISO/IEC 30107-1:2016 Information technology – Biometric presentation attack detection’.
